Online Webinar Saturday March 21, 2020

From: Matt Holden
Date: Wed, Mar 18, 2020, 7:59 PM
Subject: Please share with all Richfield club members Saturday webinar
Subject: Buffalo MN hamfest postponed. ARRL virtual meeting scheduled

Midwinter Madness, the hamfest scheduled for Saturday March 21st, in
Buffalo, MN, has been postponed.

Since most of us are going to hunkered down in our homes, I thought I
would host a Dakota Division virtual meeting on the Internet.
I will give an ARRL update and then share the highlights of my recent
trip to V4 St. Kitts and Nevis.
If you have a topic you would like to present to the amateur radio
community, please contact me about adding you to the agenda.

I plan to begin my presentation on Saturday March 21, 2020 at 9:30 AM
CDT.  Please sign-up to get specific connection instructions for
computers and telephones at
https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3546387199993324547

Let’s try to make the best of these unusual circumstances spend a little
virtual time together since we can’t meet in person.
Stay safe and I hope to see you can join the webinar.

A message from our long distance member.

Hello fellow RARC members,
How is everything back in Minnesota? I am currently in South Korea. I have been here for just over a month and have another 8 more months to go. I am the dining facility manager at camp Hovey so it’s like being the manager of a restaurant. We feed around 1000 soldiers per meal so I am pretty busy here. I unfortunately did not have space to bring any of my ham radio gear with me and I feel like I’m going through radio withdrawal. I did bring my am/fm/shortwave radio with me and listen to the Armed Forces Radio station or there is a shortwave station that is in English that broadcasts from Beijing which I sometimes catch at night. I hope you are starting to prep for field day. Wish I could be there to help out. I have my eye on some radio gear I want to buy when I get back stateside….with the wife’s permission. Don, you are the godfather of the club. Keep the club strong. Herman, Mike, Lucas, and everyone else, have fun and I look forward to seeing some field day pictures.
